The best of Netflix

Still 2 days left in the year. Go binge some of the best.

The best of Netflix

Mad men

The universe is indifferent!

I know it’s an old show. But i just discovered it this year. This dive into the world of 1960s advertising will leave you wanting for more. Also Don’s quotes 😍😍😍

Well, I hate to break it to you, but there is no big lie. There is no system. The universe is indifferent.

The Crown

Claire Foy as the Queen in ‘The Crown’

Claire Foy is awesome and I learned so much about the British Royal family and a bit about their ties to Nazi Germany. Fascinating to say the least.

Black Mirror

Easily the best TV series on Netflix if you’re a tech geek

Black mirror will leave you stunned for days. The above image is from one of my favorite episodes — The entire history of you.

Stranger things

The best thriller TV series i’ve seen in a while

Season 1 is the best thriller TV series I’ve seen in a while. I didn’t want it to end. And Winona Ryder is so good! Season 2 is more predictable. Quick fact: I have a Stranger things poster at home!

Narcos

Another crowd favorite — it chronicles the rise of Pablo Escobar and the drug trade in Columbia. The first 2 seasons are just awesome, season 3 disappoints though.

Bojack Horseman

It’s Bojack!

My favorite animated TV show of 2017. A Season 3 was incredibly moving. I wrote about why I love Bojack Horseman so much — https://medium.com/@vernekard/theres-a-bit-of-bojack-in-all-of-us-415b1d0cc4d9

Rick and Morty

Wubba Lubba dub-dub

I know, I know. But hey I’m a still a kid at heart who likes to go on strange adventures.

Doctor Who

News about the Jodie Whittaker as the first female doctor got me interested in this British epic. And man Matt Smith is so good as the 11th Doctor. Again adventures in space — something I love very much.

World War 2 in color

Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a history buff. This series was so well done and is a must watch for anyone who wants to understand the sequence of events in World War 2.

Ok-ok TV Shows of 2017

Master of None

Very acclaimed on Twitter but I thought it was only alright. It explores a topic that affects a lot of young Netflix users — dating in 2017. Aziz Ansari plays a NewYork actor struggling to find what he wants in his personal and professional life.

House of cards

A political thriller, House of Cards is the story of Frank Underwood’s quest for power. The first 2 seasons are awesome. But then the next seasons just go on and on and it’s kinda boring. Also the Trump presidency has sort of made events in the House of Cards seem dull.

Ozark

An interesting show on money laundering aka ‘washing money’. If you have no idea how that works this is a good introduction.

Star Trek Discovery

Burnham — so boring

While Micheal Burnham is annoying Mr Malfoy more than makes up for it.

Shows I watched and didn’t like

Daredevil

Sorry Daredevil, you’re just not that interesting. Watched these two individual shows after watching The defenders.

Jessica Jones

Nothing special here but I felt the idea of a detective super hero doesnt really work out.

13 reasons why

One of the most over rated Netflix shows. It was just painful to watch.

A series of unfortunate events

More of a kids show but still quite boring by even those standards.

That’s it. What did you watch in 2017? Let me know in the comments.
